I was born in Dharwad, Karnataka, and grew up experiencing different parts of the state before eventually making Bangalore my home. It was here that I raised my children, built a life with my family, and have stayed ever since.
Creativity has followed me for as long as I can remember. I began drawing and painting as a little girl, long before I thought of it as something I was particularly good at. It was simply something I loved doing. Even today, I feel fortunate to have been given that gift – and the curiosity to keep exploring it.
Like many things in life, though, art had its seasons.
There were many years when my brushes were put away. Raising my children, looking after my family and the everyday busyness of life naturally became my world. Art never completely disappeared, but there wasn't always space for it.
Years later, it was my family who encouraged me to begin again.
Picking up a brush after such a long time felt strangely familiar. Slowly, painting became more than something I had returned to – it became a way of reconnecting with myself. I sometimes feel that in finding art again, I found a part of myself again too.
My creativity isn't limited to a canvas. I also love writing stories, often drawn from experiences, observations, people and the small details of everyday life. I think both my art and writing come from the same place: a fascination with people, places and the stories hidden in ordinary moments.
I don't feel the need to define myself by one particular style. I enjoy experimenting, learning and allowing each piece to become what it wants to be. Some are inspired by culture and tradition, some by nature or people, and others simply by something that caught my eye or stayed in my mind.
This website is a home for all of it – paintings from different moments of my life, stories I've written, things I'm still discovering, and whatever comes next.
A collection of things I've seen, felt, imagined and created along the way.
MY CREATIVE PROCESS
I observe nature deeply and see story in everyday delicate moments.
➔Connecting with the emotion behind what I have seen and felt inside.
➔A quiet release of layer after layer, colors, textures and brushstrokes.
➔Giving each artwork the space to tell its own warm story.
